Description*
- Total tank volume: 150 liters
- Maximum working volume: 100 liters
- Minimum working volume: 15 liters
- 304L stainless steel construction for parts in contact with the product
- GR 120 interior polishing
- External microblasting
- General construction: mechanically welded 304L stainless steel
- Cylindrical tank with horizontal axis
- The two end flanges house the rotor bearings
- The flanges form the machine support
- Fitted on top of the mixer:
a large inspection door. The door is equipped with two cam handles for closing, a 24-volt DC electromagnetic lock, and a limit switch to detect whether the door is open or closed.
-1 vent holes
- the assembly consists of a rotor on which arms carrying the blade tools are arranged
- the arms are in two parts: one part welded to the rotor and one adjustable part
carrying the blades, so that the gap between the tank and the blade can be adjusted as accurately as possible
- side scrapers clean the flanges during mixing
- blades and scrapers are made of stainless steel
- The rotor is supported at the flanges by two bearings, which are sealed by adjustable gland packings and pressurized to between 0.3 and 0.7 bar to promote the dispersion of small ingredients, the elimination of lumps, and the injection of liquids. The machine is equipped with one chopper with knives.
DRAINING
- The product is drained through a large door at the bottom of the tank.
- When closed, the drain door restores the cylindrical shape of the tank, minimizing any retention of unmixed product.
- The specially designed seal ensures the tank is watertight.
- The drain door is integrated into a pipe that can be connected to any recovery system (gravity, sluice, screw, etc.).
- The drain door is operated by a pneumatic control system comprising: pneumatic cylinder, distributor, coil, limit switches. DRIVE UNIT
The drive unit comprises:
- 1 three-phase asynchronous 4-pole 7.5 kW electric motor for the 100 L model, 220/380 V power supply, IP55 protection, class F
- 1 gearbox
The WAM WB series intensive mixer with discontinuous operation is used for mixing powdery products in dry or wet phase.
This type of mixer consists of a cylindrical tank with a horizontal axis in which a rotor equipped with "blade" or "plowshare" type tools rotates, arranged on it in a helical spiral.
The rotor rotates at high speed (peripheral speed of around 5 m/sec. to 6 m/sec.) and the centrifugal effect is compensated by the centripetal and bilateral impulse imparted to the product by the tools.
Mixing occurs through the effect of projection and swirling in a semi-fluidized powdery mass.
This precise and fast mixer allows for homogenization and very high mixing precision in proportions of 1 part per 100,000 and above in a very short time, even with components of different particle sizes and densities.
Auxiliary "de-lumpers" can be installed tangentially inside the mixing chamber, allowing for lump removal and better dispersion of liquid or powdered additives.
A liquid injection device (water, lecithin, resin, etc.) can ensure the "wetting" of powders during mixing. This type of mixer dramatically improves the performance of more conventional machines such as ribbon mixers by:
- a short mixing phase lasting around 120 to 180 seconds
- high mixing quality
- high mixing precision, closer to orderly mixing than randomized mixing.
- adaptability to difficult, fragile products.
