The history of Pago begins in 1896 when the company was founded as a stationery shop in Switzerland. It was only in 1959 that it first began producing self-adhesive labels... and then evolved into the production of labelling heads (the so-called Pagomat) in 1979. Today Pago is a supplier of both labels and labelling machines and has several subsidiaries throughout Europe: Germany, Switzerland, England, France and Italy. Since 2012 Pago has been part of the Fuji Seal Group, a company that manufactures shrink sleeve machines. In 1993 the group also acquired the Dutch packaging machine manufacturer Intersleeve. Today Pago is an internationally renowned manufacturer of labelling machines (around 3000 machines installed in more than 50 countries) and offers a complete range of labelling machines, from simple to high-speed machines for all types of products and all types of labels for the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food and chemical sectors.
