Marchesini Spa was founded in 1974 in Bologna, Italy when Massimo Marchesini founded, in collaboration with Giuseppe Monti, their own company for the construction of automatic machines called 2M in reference to the first letter of their respective surnames. In 1976 they built the first intermittent cartoning machine, the first powder bagging machine and the first tube filling machine, thus entering fully into the packaging sector. Over the years, and with the increase in demand from the pharmaceutical sector, the company grew by purchasing other manufacturers of packaging machinery.... Today Marchesini is leader in the manufacture of machines for primary and secondary packaging, offering its customers a wide range of both stand alone machines and complete packaging lines for pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and cosmetic secotors. Machines for liquids, solids and creamy products. In primary packaging, Marchesini produces washing machines, blowers, sterilization tunnels, filling and capping machines, bottling machines, blistering machines, tube filling machines, bagging machines, while for secondary packaging, the company offers: labelling machines, vertical and horizontal cartoning machines, case packers, shrink wrappers and palletizers. With 800 employees in Italy and 200 abroad, Marchesini is one of the main players in the packaging sector worldwide. 85% of the turnover is generated by exports, and the company also has a network of 20 agencies located all over the world.
