The German company Bausch & Stroebel was founded in 1967 in Ilshofen as a manufacturer of automatic machines for the pharmaceutical sector. The family-owned company began its history with 4 employees, today it has 1700 employees all over the world. The first machine to be built was an ampoules filling machine, the AFV 1000, designed to reach a speed of 2500 ampoules per hour.... Over the years, the company also specializes in the construction of machines and lines for syringes, vials, cartridges and powder dispensers. Almost all Bausch & Stroebel machines work in sterile environments. In 2012 Bausch & Stroebel acquires the Swiss company Wilco, which is specialised in the development and manufacture of ultra-precise inspection equipment. Bausch & Stroebel is part of "Excellence United", an alliance of the five German companies (Bausch + Ströbel, Fette Compacting, Glatt, Harro Höfliger and Uhlmann), leaders in the construction of machinery for the pharmaceutical sector. The aim of this alliance is to combine the expertise of these 5 companies to be able to offer customers solutions of the highest quality for the entire production chain of pharmaceutical products.
