Haas is an American company founded in 1983 by Gene Haas with the goal of producing machine tools that are both economical and very reliable. The company started its business with the successful production of automatic devices for clamping and machining parts for the metalworking industry such as indexers, rotary tables and other accessories for machine tools. The company's... first vertical machining center is dated 1987. The first model to be manufactured is the VF1 which was presented at the Chicago fair the following year in 1988. The American company today produces 2-axis and live tooling cnc lathes, self-teaching lathes, horizontal, vertical and multi-axis machining centers. In addition to being appreciated for its excellent value for money, the company is also appreciated for the fact that it equips all its machines with its own numerical control and its own software which is very intuitive and easy to use.
