Tertiary packaging represents the third level of packaging of a product, these are end-of-line machines. Very often the end customer never sees tertiary packaging, as it serves rather to facilitate... the logistics of the products, to make their transport or storage more convenient. Once the cartons are closed with their respective products inside, they are inserted into a case thanks to a case packer. If the case packer does not automatically form and close the carton, a case erector and a case sealer or case tapper are required. Finally, to facilitate transport from the production site to the point of sale, these cases will be placed and stacked on a pallet using a palletizer. An overwrapper (or an operator) will then wrap the entire pallet with a film to protect it and make it stable. Here ends the packaging process of a product.
