Cnc lathes with fixed tools are numerical control lathes suitable for secondary turning, all those second operations that are normally carried out on single pieces and not on series production. The lathes with fixed tools are often machines with only two controlled axes of movement, the axis of movement of the spindle and the longitudinal axis of movement of the... tool-holding turret. The tool turret in this type of lathe is not motorised, so turning operations are simply carried out by contacting the object being rotated by the spindle and the tip of the tool positioned on the turret. This type of lathes is the least complex of all the numerical control lathes and consequently their use is also intended for turning operations on workpieces that are not particularly difficult to machine. Of all CNC lathes, cnc lathes with fixed tools are the machines with the lowest commercial value.
