The slotting machine is very similar to the filing machine and the broaching machine. The machine works by removing chips in order to plane the internal surfaces of a hole... or of profiled surfaces. The slotting machine works with vertical and/or inclined rectilinear motion, increasing the cutting depth with each passage of the tool.
