The F87 monoblock is an automatic machine with intermittent movements that can perform three operations simultaneously: one volumetric filling and two closures. Aqueous, alcoholic, sugary, foamy and viscous products can be used. Droppers, glass or plastic pipettes, nebulizers, normal or freeze-drying rubber stoppers can be introduced. Screw caps, press-on caps, ferrules, PFP, etc. can be fitted.
The casing and the machine bed, on which all the operating units are fixed from the inside, are made of AISI 304 stainless steel and protect the mechanical parts from the infiltration of the treated products and the water used for washing.
The operating units and their supports are made of AISI 304 stainless steel and receive their motion from a single variator motion, thus achieving the dual purpose of seamlessly linking the speed of the machine with the rotation speed of the screwing or seaming heads, and of not having electric motors above the working stations, thus eliminating sources of possible pollution of the treated products.
The volumetric filling unit is also located on the machine table and the syringes (in glass or stainless steel) act vertically. This solution avoids the radial stresses that are often the cause of breakages, reduces wear, and facilitates adjustment and cleaning of the filling units.
The closing units are designed to process all types of caps or capsules commonly used in the chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries and have simple and easy adjustments that reduce changeover times.
A special feature of the unit for introducing caps or droppers is the possibility of rotating the closing element during the introduction phase. The advantages of this system are especially apparent with soft rubber caps which, if introduced without rotation, tend to come out of the bottle.
The caps are screwed in two stages: a mandrel picks up the cap, places it on the bottle in the correct position and gently pre-strikes it. At the next station, a screwdriver tightens the capsules to the desired torque.
The vibrating feeders for the sealing elements are positioned approx. 1200 mm above the floor, so that the operator has no difficulty in checking and replenishing them.
