Blisters are commonly used as single-dose packaging for pharmaceutical tablets, capsules or tablets. Blisters are able to provide barrier protection. Blisters are created by means of a form-fill-seal process at the pharmaceutical company or packer. This process means that the blister is created from rolls of flat sheet or film is filled with the pharmaceutical product and subsequently closed (sealed) on the same equipment.
