Description*
The machine is an automatic labeling system for applying self-adhesive labels to square-shaped pharmaceutical cartons.
The operation of the machine is controlled through a special quick reference control panel, equipped with a display to show the various states of the machine and the different options of the controls. During the production phase, indications of correctly processed (good) and rejected (reject) products appear on the display. The machining process begins with the loading of products from the line onto the infeed belt. These flow along the machine to be labeled and/or printed automatically. The 'labeling machine is operated by start photocell to synchronize the cycle mechanisms according to product type and production speed. There is automatic rejection unit on the machine by which the product not matching the required processing requirements is diverted from the line into a special container. The finished product continues on the next line to complete the processing cycle. The production data of the running system (total and partial quantity, rejection number, etc.) are displayed on the control panel. The machine can keep 10 processing programs in memory, which can be changed as needed. For setting the case length, the values are between 1 and 9999 and expressed in encoder steps. The electrical/electronic components are mounted inside the "transport module" and protected with closed steel panels secured firmly with screws. The moving mechanisms mounted on the machine are enclosed within the perimeter protection consisting of aluminum profiles and transparent plexiglass panels. Doors equipped with safety microswitches that automatically inhibit operation in case of "open doors" are cut out on the front and back of the machine. The power supply is sectioned with a padlockable main safety switch in the "0" position to prevent accidental switching on. The pneumatic system on board the machine is controlled by the control unit complete with a pressure switch, to stop operation in case the pressure drops below the minimum threshold of 4 bar, and a ball valve for shutting off the supply line.
